Let us nominate 50 entrepreneurs over 50 years old
Almost all business magazines have annual nominations of some kind in the category 40 under 40, 30 under 30, etc. It is of course great if you can achieve something extraordinary at a young age like starting and growing a successful company. But we tend to forget that there are there are many things you are much better at when you are more mature and have more experience.
You are better at judging people. You have more cultural intelligence. You have a larger network. You know better how to deal with failures and people who disappoint you. You know who you can trust unconditionally.
The list is endless, but somehow we don’t seem to value these skills at all. We only celebrate the young, hardworking, intelligent, but also naive and inexperienced entrepreneurs.
At the editorial board of The Educated Singles Club, we think it is totally unfair. We want to do something about it. We want to celebrate 50 entrepreneurs over 50 years old. And we want you to help us find them, nominate them and tell their story.
We Have been discussing what the criteria should be for becoming nominated.
The criteria are:
- The nominee must have started his or her first business after they turned 50 years old
- The success of the nominee’s business is largely caused by the nominee’s life experience, network and education
